I had the privilege of seeing Hilary Helstein's documentary in Barcelona. Living in Vienna and having written a number of films concerning the Holocaust, I sincerely believed there was little a filmmaker could do with this topic that could be considered truly original. As Seen Through These Eyes proved me wrong. Primarily because it is much more than a "Holocaust Film"; it is a film that shows how Light can shine in Darkness and how Hope can be born of from the very Depths of Horror. There is a God. And this film proves it, for only God can inspire Mankind with the glory of Humanity in Hell. And that Glory is Art. If you need to give your spirit a facelift -- SEE THIS FILM!
