Black Butterflies is a fascinating while somewhat painful film to watch. It shows the struggle of Ingrid Jonker, a young poet coming to grips with the awful truth of her life, of her nation's life. This woman, segregated from the majority Black population none-the-less transcends the bubble of apartheid to challenge the South African regime with everything she has.

See it. It's not to be missed.
