Robert Stone delves into the conspiracies, truths, myths and lies stemming from the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the shooting three days later of No. 1 suspect Lee Harvey Oswald.

Stone, the producer of GUERRILLA: THE TAKING OF PATTY HEARST and RADIO BIKINI, examines the murder mystery that's haunted us for forty years. Featuring interviews with Norman Mailer, Gary Hart, Tom Hayden, Mark Lane and others the film probes the deep psychic wounds inflicted by the Kennedy assassination on American politics and culture, the scars of which remain evident to this day. Using a wealth of archival material, much of it never before seen or heard, OSWALD'S GHOST chronicles America's obsession with the single most pivotal event of the Baby Boom generation.

I saw this film at the Woodstock Film Festival. I think it's one of the very best documentaries of the year. Far more than just a probing look at the JFK assassination and how the controversy surrounding it was at the root of the upheaval of the 1960's, the film is also a devastating parable of America in the aftermath of 9/11. Highly recommended!
