Why is this movie not in more cinemas? I'm in NYC. Better would be to put it on HULU, snagfilms, etc. and set free worldwide, and have a massive viral campaign to promote it. Too many good documentaries are produced but no one (too few) can really see them as they are not available everywhere. Filmmakers please rethink your distribution model, if you want to make a "real" impact.
I rated 5 stars without even seeing it, just because of the subject matter.

I admire the people who concieved this film and although I have not yet seen it, I feel that the people of the planet MUST see this and come to the realization that we are using up all the assets of the planet for people who could eat other things and allow the fish to become more proliffic again - then they can formulate a plan to use but not deplete the resources of the planet. I agree with Marc that more people MUST SEE THIS FILM. Find a way to put it on the internet so everyone can view it and react in a positive manner to help.

Should be shown in public libraries. Show it at universities - So the next generation will think about what's happening - FISHING IS HUNTING IN THE OCEAN!!! We can all begin to think of the history of the food we consume - But only a few have gotten the message - Just about everyone else walks like a zombie to the local fast food joint and consumes what's advertised. Wake Up!!! Time to Stand up!!! Dead Oceans = Dead Planet!!!

Can we get to see it in the wilds of New Jersey without fighting NYC traffic? I'm chair of Bergen Grassroots, a political activist group in northern NJ. We would consider a proposal for a special showing in our area.

I've seen documentaries where fishing boats go out at night and scrap the bottom of the ocean for sea food. It was very disturbing to me to know that this was going on. A lot of the food caught up in these scoops are sea creatures that aren't even used and are tossed back dead. This isn't just a couple of boats here and there, this is hundreds of boats! I think every politician and anyone that cares about life and the planet should go see this film. There is also a new film out called "Food" about where our food comes from which includes factory farming. I hope that it gets the same publicity as this one.

Great faux salmon at Red Bamboo, NYC -- jsut a couple of blocks away... No need, taste-wise or any other wise, to eat fish with this dish available.
