 Ngawang Choephel's documentary, "Tibet in Song," takes us on an intimate journey inside 21st century Tibet; featuring a live array of endangered indigenous songs sung by Tibetans themselves, and weaving complex stories of raw Tibetan beauty, authoritarian brutality, intense pain, and unwavering resilience in a way never before seen on film. Ngawang, who was arrested by Chinese authorities, and falsely charged with spying while filming folk songs in Tibet, spent nearly 7 years in Chinese prisons as a political prisoner for
the making of "Tibet in Song." Ngawang's unique story as filmmaker
turned political prisoner guides the film and stands as a testament to the power of music to overcome oppression.

Ngawang Chomphel lak,its a great movie and you made all the younger tibetan generation how important to preserve our culture and also you have spread a message that how chinese govt. invaded Tibet which is so true.I wish you could film this movie in each and every state in US and through out the world.Thanks for your hard work and making such a great movie.We all the tibetans are with you.You are the another Hero of our beloved country TIBET!!!!!!!!!!

Tibet In Song, made me rethink of my homeland. The beautiful place,the beautiful people, the beautiful weather, now with all these different forms of Chinese invation, is hardly unknown to ourselves whom grew up in that land until recent years. Thanks for the film maker, whom let me realize what is happening to my land.

i as a personally appreciate his great effort and hard work. his determination of completing such work is amazing and appreciable. he is the one who considers life is all about freedom. it is first thing we all human must have. it is gifted by god to everyone whether its a animal or human.thanks for ur hardwork and we in outside tibetans won;t forget your music.

You have reintroduced Tibet in your film unlike any other films made on Tibet. Your believe in Tibetan culture especially music is something every Tibetan should feel proud of and be inspired. I have my deep respect and believe in you and that you will continue to make more films especially on Tibetan theme.
