HELLBOUND? Opening Night Q&A's!
Director Kevin Miller and Cast Members Frank Schaeffer and Michael Hardin will be appearing for a post-screening Q&A following the 7:10 pm show on Friday, Sept. 21st!

Does Hell exist? If so, who ends up there, and why? Featuring an eclectic group of authors, theologians, pastors, social commentators and musicians, HELLBOUND? is a provocative, feature-length documentary that will ensure you never look at hell the same way again!

Hell. A shadowy abode choked with eggy, sulfurous fumes; the stench of blackened, bubbling flesh and screams of agony from souls trapped forever in a lake of fire. A vision made all the more terrifying by the fact that God–the only being who could possibly save us from such a fate–is the one who consigns us there instead.

Such depictions of Hell have gripped humanity for centuries, but the traditional view of Hell also presents us with a dilemma. If God is our pure, all-loving Creator, can he really allow (presumably) billions of people to suffer in Hell for eternity? To many people, it seems like we can have a benign God or we can have the traditional view of Hell, but we can’t have both…

Is it possible we’ve gotten Hell wrong? Are recent challenges to the traditional view a vain attempt to avoid the inevitable? Featuring an eclectic group of authors, theologians, pastors, musicians and social commentators, HELLBOUND? asks why we are so bound to the idea of Hell and what our views of Hell reveal about how we perceive God, the Bible and, ultimately, ourselves.

"Hellbound? confronts the great national ideological divide over religion as never before."
-Frank Schaeffer, The Huffington Post

A God who loves all his creatures, but tortures some (most?) in eternal hall is a contradiction that has long afflicted Western civilization. Like slavery did in the 19th century, this moral dilemma that is troubling modern Christians.

This film is a good introductory treatment. It is not terribly deep, and there's no question which side the film-maker is on. But he lets both sides speak for themselves (to their detriment in many cases).

The reality is, god is the creator of life, and we are not meant to know things beyond our measure. We have split the atom, but science cannot take you before the big bang. To apply human thought to God's existence doesn't work. we can imagine hell, talk about hell, and apply our earth bound human minds to it, but it doesn't even come close. By wondering if god is cruel or good is irrelevant. Just like an ant colony to us looks disorganized, it is a tightly woven community. They are unaware that one foot could erase them forever. Maybe gods foot is in the air?
