Janeane Wilson is an Iowa housewife who is proud to consider herself a patriotic, God-fearing, conservative American. Though her husband Fred's job as a truck driver frequently takes him out of town for long stretches, Janeane keeps busy at home: in the garden, at a women's Bible study group, and as a local political activist. As the 2012 presidential election approaches, Janeane is eager to do her part as a responsible citizen by attending and participating in campaign rallies for Republican nominees in the lead-up to the Iowa caucus. Her biggest concern is finding a candidate who will be committed to repealing Obamacare, Planned Parenthood and other leftist initiatives that are, in her view, destroying the country she loves. She travels around to various campaign stops in the Des Moines area, listening raptly to sound bites doled out by GOP candidates Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich. But the ongoing recession takes its toll, and economic and medical crises cause a radical upheaval for Janeane. Her faith is put to the test as her once staunchly held conservative beliefs no longer seem to satisfy the unanswered questions in her life.

Janeane's pain is all too familiar, and Director Grace Lee's portrait of everyday battles and personal bravery is sure to touch a communal nerve. Generic labels seem inadequate when one witnesses how compassionately Janeane from Des Moines explores its protagonist's plight Ś one that is faced by thousands of Americans ravaged by an economy in free fall.

Why Charlie only direct his word 2 times to Ron Paul and soteihmng like 20 to Mrs Romney !!!!! Charlie Rose I respect you because´╗┐ youre a smart guy but why did you acted so bought´╗┐ in favor of the Neocons who know nothing about economics??? Comme´╗┐ on dont you saw how Mitt spoke about his leadership and with no content or substantial arguments in economics. They dont know even what Basel III is and they think they are good at economy

This movie dared to show the truth behind these candidates and it was pretty shocking to hear and see their exchanges with Janeane. Wonderful moving story directed and acted powerfully by Jane Edith Wilson. It will leave you with a much to think about.

The man has major skills, as the wetalh he has accumulated for himself shows. He is also someone who could pass muster with a board of directors interviewing for a new CEO, but as a candidate for President, he is tone deaf and has a tin ear if anyone thinks the things he has been saying while trying to connect with voters are working. Things such as the corporations are people one, or the I'm unemployed, too one, or even the That waitress grabbed my ass one are just three examples. He's like the nerd, trying to fit in with the in crowd, tries to talk like them, but just doesn't get it and makes things worse. Be yourself should be the first rule of every candidate. Trying to do otherwise is a little like juggling lies. The more you do it, the greater chance you get tripped up.

WC,I think that you're onto something with that cmemont.Add to Obama's ignorance about corporations his submersion in Leftist all his life (Remember Obama's mother?), and you have the formula for a dangerous President.I say the same about his disregard for our Constitution. He never "connected" with it, either.
