The citizens of the planet Hondo have sent their most decorated soldier, General Trius (Nils d'Aulaire), to find a new home... and wipe out the current inhabitants in the process. But when General Trius lands on Earth, he's entranced by a strange and mystical human invention: music. He immediately abandons his mission, starts a family, and launches a one-alien bluegrass act in a tiny Brooklyn bar.

Years later, a bumbling assassin named Kevin (Jay Klaitz) arrives to get the mission back on track. Although Kevin is no match for the great General Trius, the Hondonians have no intention of calling off their plan to eliminate mankind. The only solution is for General Trius and Kevin to join forces to save Hondo, prevent an intergalactic takeover of Earth, and hopefully get some bigger gigs for the universe's first Hondonian bluegrass duo: Future Folk!

Thoroughly entertaining and suffused with a rare kind of genuine innocence that only comes from a wildly unbelievable premise that not only works but also makes the viewer really care. The music is great, too. I only wish it had run longer!

As an avid photographer I've come aocrss this issue as well. As you use an external drive to backup to I'm assuming you don't use a computer like a Mac Pro with space for internal drives, which would really be optimal. For normal working storage I stripe three 2TB drives and partition off the fastest section for maximum throughput. This gives me enough space to work with my files. As for backups, depending on the amount of data you have, you might have to opt for striping a couple drives, but if you can I'd mirror your backups. Redundant backups keep you covered for any likely hardware failure. I'd also recommend backing up to drives you swap in one or two week rotations, e.g. first week you update with your newest photos, swap out to second drive the next week after leaving the first drive and update that, etc.. I use a simple single drive enclosure for this.As for online storage, what I currently do is export my keepers which I flag in Lightroom to DNG and back those specific files up. My photoshop files are always backed up online, as are my Lightroom catalogs, so I don't lose any processing work either. In the event of total local (and likely city wide) data loss that could be caused by say a tsunami or earthquake that wipes all your backups (including the drives you have in rotation) you still have all your significant data backed up onto servers around the world. Peace of mind. Unless you make a mistake, of course, which is most likely. With such systems, being diligent of handling data and keeping your cool in the event of drive failure is imperative.

This movie never tries too hard. Loved the music and the romantic center of this film. It manages to feel very familiar and totally new at the same time. i give it 5 Hondos.

Really enjoyed this film! I hope word of mouth helps push this to an unexpected plateau. It is unique, something I was looking for, and I know others will agree.I believe character actor, Steve Greenstein is such a natural, and it's his time for his long awaited recognition. The whole cast was real, and entertaining. Go see it!

It has heart, it has humor and it has aliens. What more could you want from a Flight of the Concords meets Galaxy Quest type movie. Love it. The love story has just the right touch and Julie Ann Emery brings the heart of the film together with all the silly you have to just enjoy. Really Heart.
