URGENT & TIMELY REPORT ON THE CURRENT SITUATION IN IRAN

December 4, 2023
IT'S ALWAYS IMPORTANT TO BE AWARE OF WHAT IS GOING ON IN IRAN RIGHT NOW- AND I CANNOT THINK OF A MORE FASCINATING FIGURE TO REMIND US OF THAT THAN NICKZAD NODJOUMI. I AM SO GLAD THAT I GOT TO SEE THIS FILM., AND THAT I WAS ABLE TO HEAR Mr. NIDJOUMI, AND HIS DIRECTOR DAUGHTER, SARAH NODJOUMI, SPEAK AFTER THE FILM, AND HEAR ALL THEINSIGHTFUL QUESTIONS & COMMENTS FROM THE AUDIENCE MEMBERS. (I FELT VERY BAD FOR THE GENTLEMAN WHO SAID THAT HIS FATHER THREW OUT POSTERS THAT MR. NIDJOUMI CREATED. THAT MUST HAVE BEEN ONE OF THE WORST DECISIONS THAT ANY PARENT HAS EVER MADE!). I AM JUST SORRY THAT THE FILM WASN'T LONGER BECAUSE IT TOUCHED ON A FEW TOPICS ALL TOO BRIEFLY. FOR EXAMPLE, THERE WAS A MENTION OF MR. NODJOUMI'S WIFE BEING JEWISH, SO I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE GOTTEN MORE INFORMATION ON THE DIFFICULTIES OF A JEW & MUSLIM BEING MARRIED. (MRS. NODJOUMI MADE A BRIEF REMARK ABOUT HOW SHE FELT THAT RELIGION IS USED TO KEEP WOMEN DOWN. I HOPE SHE REALIZES THAT THAT IS ONLY TRUE ABOUT FANATICS LIKE FRED PHELPS, THE AYATOLLAH KHOMEINI, & THE TALIBAN WHO USE RELIGION AS AN EXCUSE TO REPRESS WOMEN & GAY & TRANSGENDERED PEOPLE & NOT ABOUT RELIGIOUS PEOPLE IN GENERAL). THERE WAS A VERY IMPORTANT MENTION ABOUT THE KURDISH WOMAN WHO WAS BEATEN TO DEATH BY IRANIAN POLICE FOR NOT COVERING HER HAIR, BUT I WOULD ALSO LIKED TO HAVE GOTTEN MORE INFORMATION ON WHAT LIFE IS LIKE NOW FOR THE KURDISH, AZERI, & PERSIAN JEWISH COMMUNITY IN IRAN. FINALLY, I WOULD HAVE LIKED A LITTLE MORE INFORMATION ABOUT HOW THE LAST SHAH'S FATHER WAS ABLE TO GAIN CONTROL OF IRAN. I ONCE HEARD AN IRANIAN EXILE NAMED AMIR TAHERI SAY THAT THE SHAH'S FATHER WAS A COLONEL IN THE IRANIAN AIR FORCE AT THE TIME THAT HE OVERTHREW THE SHAH WHO WAS THEN IN POWER, AND THAT HIS FATHER'S ROLE IN THE MILITARY RESULTED IN THE LAST SHAH BEING ABLE TO KEEP CONTROL OF THE MILITARY EVEN WHEN PRESIDENT MOSSADEGH WAS IN POWER, & THAT WAS THE MAIN REASON HE WAS ABLE TO REGAIN COMPLETE CONTROL OF IRAN. IF MS. NODJOUMI & HER CO-DIRECTOR HUSBAND, TILL SCHAUDER, DO ANY MORE FILMS ON IRAN, I HOPE THAT THEY WILL EXPLORE THESE TOPICS.
