The forces tearing apart our democracy have never been more frightening or powerful, but who is actually behind them? Bad Faith reveals how Christian Nationalist leaders have spread fear and anger for decades, distorting political issues into battles between good and evil, as they seek to upend the Constitution and impose their version of Biblical law on all Americans. Financed through the secretive Council for National Policy, the movement has succeeded in taking over the Republican Party, turning it into a powerful weapon to demolish democracy from within. Discover the origins of this organized grasp for power and the grassroots coalition of secular and interfaith leaders bravely confronting the unholy forces threatening our democracy.

FINAL COMMENTS ON "BAD FAITH"

April 11, 2024
THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN PASTOR WHO IS FEATURED IN "BAD FAITH" IS ASSOCIATED WITH AN ORGANIZATION CALLED THE POOR PEOPLE'S CAMPAIGN. THEREFORE, IT MAKES A LOT OF SENSE TO INCLUDE HIM IN THE FILM BECAUSE WE GET TO SEE THAT NOT ALL RELIGIOUS LEADERS ARE ULTRA-CONSERVATIVE TRUMP SUPPORTERS.

Sad failure

April 10, 2024
Here is a movie that tells us what we have seen in the news and how bad it is. Okay, fine. It then gives us few options on how to combat this truth; instead we see an unheard of Black minister moaning our lack of morals. Where are the White intellectuals stating that believing in Christian Nationalism is wrong? They are out there, but none are in this movie. This movie does something astounding, it give cause to what it tries to refute....

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS TO MAKE UP FOR ERRORS

April 10, 2024
WHEN I WROTE ABOUT STEWART COPELAND'S ANGRY TANTRUM, I MEANT TO SAY "FEMALE REPORTER" INSTEAD OF "FEMALE." ALSO, WHEN I WROTE ABOUT JERRY FALWELL CRITICIZING THE ANTI-GAY MINISTER , MEANT TO WRITE "RED PHELPS" BUT I JUST WROTE "FRED." I PROBABLY SHOULD ALSO HAVE MENTIONED THAT HE ALSO CRITICIZED ANOTHER MINISTER BAILEY SMITH WHO SAID "GOD DOES NOT HEAR THE PRAYERS OF JEWS" & ALSO CRITIZED JIMMY LEE SWAGGART FOR CLAIMING THAT THE HOLOCAUST WAS THE JEWS' "PUNISHMENT" FOR NOT ACCEPTING JESUS AS THEIR SAVIOR & ALSO CONDEMNED AN ANTI-GAY MINISTER NAMED DEAN WYCKOFF WHO ONCE SAID THAT PRO-GAY ACTIVISTS WERE GOING TO CAUSE A "BLOODY BATTLE" & ALSO CALLED FOR THE EXECUTIONS OF GAY PEOPLE. ALSO, I THINK THAT IT MAY HAVE BEEN RICHARD VIGUIERIE- & NOT PAUL WEYRICH- WHO SAID THAT WOMEN WHO LOSE THEIR BABIES TO ABORTION WERE COMMITTING "MURDER" ON TOM SNYDER'S SHOW. IF IT WAS VIGUERIE, I APOLOGIZE TO MR. WEYRICH. BUT, WHICHEVER ONE SAID IT SHOULD APOLOGIZE TO THE WOMEN WHO LOSE THEIR BABIES TO ABORTION.

IMPORTANT DOC W A FEW GENERALIZATIONS& A FEW UNDEVELOPED POINTS

April 9, 2024
THIS IS CERTAINLY AN IMPORTANT DOCUMENTARY BECAUSE IT SHOWED HOW RELIGION & THE CONSERVATIVE MOVEMENT HAVE BEEN CO-OPTED BY A FEW POWERFUL- & OFTEN RICH- LEADERS FOR THEIR OWN PERSONAL AGENDA. PERHAPS THE MOST FRIGHTENING MOMENT CAME WHEN STEWART COPELAND REACTED SO ANGRILY WHEN A FEMALE QUESTIONED HIM ABOUT CALLING OTHER PEOPLE "DEMONS." INSTEAD OF CALMLY EXPLAINING THAT HE HAD BEEN MISQUOUTED (WHICH IS POSSIBLE), COPELAND GOT SUCH AN ANGRY & WILD LOOK IN HIS EYES & STARTED SHAKING HIS FINGER AT HER. I FELT THE SAME WAY IN THE FILM CLIPS OF PAUL WEYRICH. I FIRST SAW HIM BEING INTERVIEWED BY TOM SNYDER ON THE OLD "TOMORROW" TV SHOW WAY BACK IN 1980. WHEN MR. SNYDER ASKED HIM IF HE THOUGHT THAT A WOMAN WHO HAS AN ABORTION WAS COMMITTING MURDER, MR. WEYRICH SAID, "YES," AND, WHEN SOME MEMBERS OF THE STUDIO AUDIENCE STARTED GROANING, HE SAID, "I'M SORRY IF THAT SHOCKS ANYONE." HOW I WISH HE HAD RESPONDED BY SAYING, "NO WAY! THE WOMAN IS A VICTIM, TOO!" AND, OF COURSE, NOOONE COMES ACROSS ANGRIER THAN DONALD TRUMP. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW ANY RELIGIOUS PERSON COULD SUPPORT SOMEONE WHO MOCKED A PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED REPORTER, & ALSO BRAGGED ABOUT SEXUALLY ASSAULTING WOMEN, & , WHEN THAT INFORMATION BECAME PUBLIC, HE REFUSED TO APOLOGIZE, & CALLED IT "JUST LOCKER ROOM TALK." I ALSO THOUGHT IT WAS IMPORTANT TO BRING UP JERRY FALWELL'S ONE-TIME SUPPORT FOR SEGREGATION & ALSO THE HATEFUL REMARKS HE MADE ABOUT GAYS, PAGANS, & FEMINISTS AFTER THE 9/11 TERRORIST ATTACKS. BUT PERHAPS THE FILM SHOULD ALSO HAVE MENTIONED THAT FALWELL LATER CONDEMNED THE LATE, UNLAMENTED FRED ("GOD HATES FAGS") & STRESSED AT THAT TIME THAT PEOPLE SHOULD LOVE GAY PEOPLE. PERHAPS FALWELL WAS TRING TO ATONE FOR HIS PREVIOUS ANTI-GAY REMARKS. (I DON'T KNOW IF HE EVER TRIED TO ATONE FOR HIS SUPPORT OF SEGREGATION). ALSO, I DON'T THINK THAT JON FAVREAU, THE FORMER SPEECH WRITER FOR PRESIDENT OBAMA, SOULD HAVE REFERRED TO PRO-LIFERS AS "RIGHT WING" BECAUSE MANY PRO-LIFERS SUPPORT LIBERAL CAUSES LIKE OPPOSITION TO CAPITAL PUNISHMENT & SUPPORT FOR GUN CONTROL & THE VOTING RIGHTS ACT & THE EQUAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT. BUT, THEN AGAIN, THIS DOCUMENTARY DID WHAT GOOD DOCUMENTARIES ARE SUPPOSED TO DO: IT MADE US THINK ABOUT- & DEBATE- THE ISSUES THAT WERE RAISED.
