It’s the genre done right. An entertaining balance of tension and dark laughs. Its style stands out through the lens and dialogue. Writer/Director Joel Souza has made his mark on the genre. Go for the ride.

Wow Wow Wow!!! Must See

November 8, 2019
This movie was a lens into the life of patrol officers on the night shift in LA and it was eye opening. I was riveted from beginning to end with the different characters they encounter and their own personal stories intertwined throughout. The actors were amazing and so was the writing. A MUST SEE!!!!

Great film

November 8, 2019
I really enjoyed this film! The writing and directing is very compelling, and the cinematography adds a really unique lens on the experience. It’s a fresh , layered view into a world we’ve seen before; and what makes it stand out in the heart behind it. The performances across the board are exceptional. I highly recommend it!

Holly S**t AMAZING MOVIE!!!!

November 8, 2019
Wow wow wow, this is a throwback to the hay day of 1970’s style cinema in the best imaginable way, while hitting modern themes in killer combos like Muhammad Ali. Ultra tense suspense takes us deep into the heart of two characters and what we find is incredibly human, poetic, tragic, uplifting and profound. The cynicism of the lead played by Thomas Jane is laugh out loud funny but it never stretches for laughs in what is ultimately a drama about human nature, masculinity, crime and justice. Enjoy the ride to the dark side. Emerge in the glow of cinema’s soul.

Amazing dialogue and bold directing. Cast is amazing. Especially Thomas Jane who reminded me of Steve McQuuen, Josh Hopkins and David Krumholtz who reminded me of Jaba The Hut and Salacious Crumb and Bridget Moynahan who was so good and barely recognizable. Weird mustache on Gregg Bello but somehow he made it work.

The directing and acting in Crown Vic is riveting . For the first time we get to experience the inside world of a “black and white “ and the intense pressures every cop has to face throughout their career - great script !

Saw this at Tribeca Film Festival in the spring. On par with the great police dramas of my youth: Training Day! Recommend with 3 thumbs up!
