This film is fantastic.

I learned so much from this movie. The incredible efforts made by animal lovers across the country to rescue and re-home abandoned dogs are truly inspiring and it was eye-opening to see how huge the problem is. What may have touched me most was to see rescuers with completely opposing political views working together to save animals in need. I walked away thinking of what a beautiful metaphor these animals were for American citizens. If we could get over our political differences to solve problems for humans the way these American heroes solve problems for animals, we'd be in a much better place as a country. This film is a reminder that, if our government won't do anything to help people, we can make change ourselves as long as we work together.

This film should come with a warning: "If you watch this film you will likely adopt a rescue dog. " (and your life will be the better for it!)

"No, they won’t be handed out with tickets, but presumably seeing rescue dogs placed in new homes in a documentary will make you smile all the same." -The New York Times
