Synopsis:
In this modern adaption of the African-American folk hero of the same name, ex-gang member John Henry has traded violence for a quieter life in South Los Angeles. But when he meets two immigrant children running from his former gang, he has to decide whether to revisit his troubled past in order to help give the two children a better future.
