Angad Aulakh is an American filmmaker who makes his feature directorial debut with this Fall’s arresting international drama AUTUMN LIGHTS.
Aulakh received his B.F.A. in Film and Television from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. After relocating from New York to Los Angeles, Aulakh began a collaborative partnership with Guy Kent, forming Last Carnival. During the course of seven months, they developed four feature projects and produced two short films, one of which starring Kent alongside American Crime’s Caitlin Gerard and shot by veteran commercial cinematographer Tobia Sempi. AUTUMN LIGHTS signifies their first feature collaboration and just over a year after meeting, Aulakh and Kent were entering pre-production on the film, Aulakh serving as both writer/director and producer.
Aulakh was raised in Pennsylvania before moving to New York to attend NYU. He now resides in Los Angeles.
