A Canadian high school dropout, John changes the face of American TV and is recognized as 'The Godfather Of Reality TV', having created, co-hosted and written 'Real People', the #1 hit show on NBC for the 3 years he was with it.

He was first in TV to do film reviews on the news, having been the award-winning 'Critic-At-Large', on NB, LA for 5 years, and for ten years, the oft-quoted controversial critic for LA Magazine. Prior to that, he was the original host of 'AM LA', where he won the first of Five Emmy Awards, interviewing guests like Cesar Chavez and Mohamed Ali, and is the only one in TV to have won Emmy Awards for both News and Entertainment. For years, he wrote special material for Frank Sinantra and politicians. As a standup comic, he appeared regularely on 'The Dean Martin Show' and in Las Vegas, opening for Robert Goulet, Bobby Darin and Dionne Warwich, and on two major comedy albums, 'It's Tough To Be White', with liner notes by Neil Simon!

In 2014, in retirement he prodeuced the world-wide critically-acclaimed 'The Last Word On The Assassination' featuring 'The Garrison Tapes', the best documentary ever made on the murder of President Kennedy and the best panel of researchers: Dick Russell, Joan Mellen and  Jim Marrs.

It'd be hard to find another in showbiz who has has the breadth of accomplishment and influence as John.
