Dominique Fishback is an actress and playwright who is best known for playing Darlene on “The Deuce” and Billie Rowan on “Show Me a Hero,” two HBO series. She currently stars in indie film “Night Comes On,” which premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and was the winner of the Next Innovator Award. The film, which was released in select theaters and digital platforms on August 3rd, 2018, is directed by Jordana Spiro and co-written by Jordana Spiro and Angela Nwandu. Next up, Dominique can be seen in FOX 2000 Pictures’ “The Hate U Give,” opposite Amandla Stenberg, Anthony Mackie, Common, Algee Smith and Regina King. The film will have its world premiere at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival and will be released wide on October 19th, 2018. The film is based on a popular young adult novel by Angie Thomas and is directed by George Tillman Jr. Earlier this year, Dominique appeared as a younger version of Jay-Z’s mother, Gloria Carter, in his music video for SMILE. The part earned her a Webby Award for best individual performance. In 2014, Fishback premiered her off-off-Broadway play “Subverted” where she plays 22 characters. “Subverted” was nominated for a 2015 Innovative Theater Award for Outstanding Solo Performance. Dominiquegraduated from Pace University with a B.A. in Theater. She currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
