Ultra-violent gangster movie with no reedeming qualities

October 7, 2021
I went to this movie because I remembered how great Emile Hirsch was in "The Mudge Boy." However, I do not have any idea idea of why he would want to do such a low class and ultra-violent movie. Unlike "Runt," it doesn't explain what drives people to violence, and, unlike "Coming Home In the Dark," it doesn't encourage people to have any sympathy for the victims of violence. It was just unrelenting and gratuitous gore. I also don't know whom to blame for Mr. Hirsch's robotic performance- the director, the screenwriter, or him.
