Fast-paced and fun, MIDDLE LIFE is a big-hearted throwback romcom written and directed by Pavan Moondi (SCHITT'S CREEK, SUNDOWNERS).
Starring bandmates from the Canadian alt-rock band, JULY TALK, Leah Fay Goldstein and Peter Dreimanis. Goldstein was previously Canadian Screen Award-nominated for her starring turn in DIAMOND TONGUES (Factory 25), while Dreimanis made his screen debut earlier this year in Ryan Coogler’s SINNERS. Luke Lalonde, front man of indie rock band Born Ruffians, co-stars, alongside comedic actor Colin Burgess (DAD AND STEP DAD, FREE TIME)
MIDDLE LIFE follows Andie (Leah Fay Goldstein), a perfectionist wedding planner in her mid-thirties and new mother, who has meticulously crafted her life but still feels unfulfilled. Fresh off maternity leave, she saves Ryan (Peter Dreimanis, SINNERS), a blue-collar plumber, from a roadside accident. As their paths intertwine over the next year, her craving for change and his newfound perspective on life spark an unexpected connection, leading them to discover that life could be great.
One of The Globe and Mail's Top Ten Canadian Films of the Year.
