Question about Albert Einstein

March 19, 2023
I haven't seen the film yet, but I was just wondering how many people know that Albert Einstein, Hannah Arendt, and 23 other prominent Jews took out an ad in The New York Times to object to a visit to America from Menachem Begin, whom they blamed for the massacre of 150-200 Arabs at a village called Deir Yassan? (Begin was also behind the bombing of the King David Hotel, which killed 91 people). Since we are now at a time when support for Israel is waning among Democrats, we need to remember that there have always been Jews who were willing to condemn extremist groups like Begin's Irgun and Yitzhak Shamir's Stern Gang. I just wish that more Arabs were willing to condemn Hamas and the PLO terrorists.
